Walla Walla Vision Volunteers
We are looking for Washington licensed vision professionals to dedicate one to two days to help serve the uninsured and underinsured population. On April 18th & 19th, 2019 there will be a free clinic offered at Walla Walla County Fairgrounds. Walla Walla Free Clinic provides eye exams, glaucoma testing, testing for diabetic retinopathy and prescription glasses.
Walla Walla Free Clinic is planning a clinic with a goal of helping 200+ people over the two days of the clinic. We will bring all supplies and equipment needed including frames. To accomplish this goal your help is needed. We are looking for the following volunteers.
Technicians (please, let us know if you can refract)
Vision office staff- Help patients navigate the vision area.
Please consider volunteering, and possibly bringing any of your staff, friends or coworkers to volunteer as well. Every free clinic is made possible by the compassion and love of our volunteers. Out of state vision providers can apply to volunteer in Washington at: https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/opinio/s?s=VOLATT . Out of state Vision volunteers must apply at least ten working days prior to beginning their volunteer service. They cannot volunteer more than 30 calendar days per year.
